Marlene Dressman, Ph.D.
Sr. Director, Program Director
Marlene Dressman is the Program Director for the tasimelteon development program. She has been a member of the Vanda management team since its founding in 2003. Prior to joining Vanda, Marlene worked from 1999-2003 at Novartis Pharmaceuticals. While at Novartis Marlene helped build the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Department and participated as a full time representative to several International Compound Project Teams. From 1996-1999 she worked at the National Institute of Health in the National Human Genome Research Institute investigating the pathophysiology of genetic diseases.
Before working at the National Institutes of Health Marlene was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. She has a Ph.D. in human genetics from the University of Pittsburgh and a B. A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
