Christian Lavedan, Ph.D.
Head of Discovery
Prior to joining Vanda, Dr. Lavedan was Director of the Laboratory of Pharmacogenomics at Novartis Pharmaceuticals from 1998 to 2003. Dr. Lavedan received a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Paris. Throughout his career, Dr. Lavedan has conducted genetic and genomic research in neurodegenerative disorders, neuromuscular diseases, mental retardation, and cancer.
Dr. Lavedan worked at the National Human Genome Research Institute of the NIH, at the University of Pennsylvania, at the Greenwood Genetic Center, and in France at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale.
